They're playing a really intense game of peek-a-boo.
It's been awhile since I've played MM, but as I recall the Fierce Deity experience didn't seem like a pleasant one. And I like Ocarina's Link better so that's the one wot got drawn with Oni.
The left side of my brain likes this because of the physical representation of Oni's power over Link's free will and morality, and the right side likes it because it's omg!OnixLink!!1! Everybody's happy.
I tried a different method of shading for this piccy. Used a different kind of brush. I like it better than the old way, that I do.

I feel like Fierce is just very misunderstood and is actually a good guy especially if he is Link’s Terminian counterpart[[Even the mask looks like Link in appearance sharing features to him and what not so why people not realize this? I would’ve think it’d be obvious as Nintendo doesn’t just make things look like something for no reason, so their has to be a reason why they look alike and that’s pretty much it.]] but due to his appearance people thought he was scary or something perhaps? Like he is a hero but others still are scared of him no matter what he tried and that made him sad? Kinda the vibe I get from Fierce Deity. Good yet sadly misunderstood.
